Internationally renowned artist Bruce Munro is creating two awe-inspiring light installations that reflect the unique environment and culture of this thriving border region.
His immersive works of art will draw visitors from across the country and the world and generate significant returns for the region and its stakeholders for years to come.
In May 2022, the Victorian Government awarded $3 million as part of the 2022-23 state budget towards the Trail of Lights project on Lake Cullulleraine.
In January 2023, the NSW Regional Tourism Activation Fund (Round 2) awarded $4.99 million to the Wentworth installation.
We are calling for Expressions of Interest from potential commercial partners and volunteers to help deliver this illuminating experience.

Two world-class light installations created by artist Bruce Munro will spotlight the captivating history, landscape and stories of the Mildura-Wentworth region from 2024.
The site-specific installations will connect communities and inspire visitors to reflect, engage and interact with two stunning and distinctive environments.
The project has the potential to increase new overnight visitation to the region, based on similar works of scale by the artist across the globe.
The Mildura-Wentworth region’s visitor economy is projected to grow by approx. $100M annually with significant flow-on benefits to local employment, development, accommodation, and hospitality and retail sectors.
This project will also significantly lift Mildura-Wentworth’s profile as a region to live, work and invest.
Mildura Regional Development is looking for Expressions of Interest from interested parties for the delivery of services upon operation of the project/s.
